Summer Music Therapy Sessions

Come join us at Community Music School in Centerbrook, CT for our group music therapy classes with our board certified music therapist, Amy Hemenway!

We offer a class specifically for children ages 2-5 with Autism, that meets Wednesdays from 10:15-11am from June 28th through August 2nd.

We also offer a class for adolescents and young adults with Autism, that is focused specifically on social skills. This class meets Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30pm from June 28th through August 2nd.

If a family-oriented class is a better fit for you, we offer a drum circle class open to all ages and abilities.

Vista Life Innovations Graduation Ceremony

Join us in honoring the achievements of Vista's Class of 2017! 

This year's Keynote Speaker will be writer, producer and teacher Jocelyn Ruggiero, who has worked with Vista students and members as an arts instructor since 2014. Among her various career highlights, Ruggiero's written work has appeared in The Boston Globe, The Washington Post, Food and Wine, Parade Magazine, Saveur and Yankee Magazine.

The ceremony will run from 2:30-4 p.m.  A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony.

39th Annual Time Machines Car Show/Swap Meet

39th Annual Time Machines Antique Car Show & Swap Meet…2017
The 39th Annual Time Machines Antique Car Show & Swap Meet will be held Sunday, July 23rd 8am to 3pm at the Guilford Fairgrounds, 111 Lovers Lane, Guilford, CT  Rain or Shine.
Presented by the CT Area Classic Tbird Club, this event has an expected attendance of 450 show cars and over 125 vendor spaces filled with various auto related items.  This show has raised thousands of dollars for charity over the years running. This year our 50/50 raffle will benefit the “Fisher House”.
There is a good variety to enjoy with 25 judged show car classes and a swap meet of mostly auto related items. There are 3 awards per car class plus awards for the Best Unrestored vehicle and President's Choice.  There will be a Special Event Area to Honor All Veterans. We also have a display only, non judged class for vehicles 1992 and newer for people who want to share their special car with others.   Most show car classes are by brand affiliation and other classes include, foreign cars, Service Vehicles (police, fire, military, taxi, and hearse) etc. To be eligible for award competition vehicles need to be on the show field by 12 noon and must also be present for the awards ceremony at 3pm.  In an effort to encourage older car participation, original, non-modified show cars pre-dating 1930 will be allowed free entry. There will be a car corral featuring cars that are for sale, music by a DJ, and prizes, and clean permanent bathrooms.  You will find multiple food vendors- breakfast, lunch, snacks and ice cream will be available. Spectator parking is free on site. No pets, no alcohol, no bare feet per Guilford Fairgrounds.
Admission: Adults $4.00, Seniors $3.00, under 12 yrs. old free,
Show Car Registration $10.00;   Swap Meet 20 X 20’ space $30.00 show day, or pre register for $15.00.  Pre registration forms are available on show web site.
Directions:  I-95 to exit 59 then follow the signs to 111 Lovers Lane, Guilford.

Early Guilford Days Family Festival

All five historic Guilford museums invite you to a special weekend of traditional activities, craft demonstrations, and sales. Enjoy unique experiences at each site: Dudley Farm Museum, Henry Whitfield State Museum, Hyland House Museum, Medad Stone Tavern Museum, and Thomas Griswold House Museum.

The Henry Whitfield State Museum will feature redware pottery by Steinhagen Pottery (Griswold, CT) and wool spinning by Janice Steinhagen (Griswold, CT) on Saturday, 17th-century reproduction furniture by Paul Rulli Reproductions (Woodstock, CT) on Sunday, and tinsmithing by Lance Kozikowski (Coventry, CT) both days.

Excelerate Performance Cars and Coffee

We invite you to a new standing event at Excelerate Performance: OUR very own Cars & Coffee. Come talk cars with people who are passionate about all things automotive AND drink some java made by people who are passionate about all things coffee. And do so right here at our very own facility!

Local legend, Willoughby's Coffee & Tea, will be providing the fresh brewed coffee roasted from the world's finest beans and we will be hosting the get together at our facility on 12 Sycamore Way in Branford, CT from 9 AM to 12 PM on several dates throughout the spring, summer and fall.
